Berwick - Holy Trinity with St Mary's church, Berwick upon Tweed.

Window showing the history of early Christianity in the North East of England. Made for the millenium (2000 CE).

The millenium window celebrates the development of Christianity in the North East of England, with St Columba on Iona, St Aidan on Lindisfarne and the four evangelists, all of them responsible for spreading the word of Christ.

In the centre the tree of life and the cross pay tribute of the Celtic roots of Northern Christianity, the river flowing from the base of the tree becomes the river Tweed as it enters the North Sea.

This window won an award from the Berwick Civic Society.
