All Saints' Low Catton, nr York - 2004

The window is in memory of a farming couple and depicts the cycle of the seasons.  At the base are flower panels from different parts of the year, and the main area of the design shows wheat from germination to full ripeness.

The gold and blue bands represent the most crucial aspects of nature for a farmer, day and night  or sunshine and rain - the latter concept being reinforced with the sections of rainbow scattered across the window.   The rainbow also symbolises God's eternal love for mankind, the token given after the Flood.

The presence of the Holy Spirit and of Christ in creation is shown by the dove and the cross which are included in the design.
