The World of James Herriot, Thirsk, n.Yorks. – 1999

This window is on the first floor of the visitor centre and looks out onto the street.  It shows the landscape where the famous vet lived and worked, with the White Horse on Sutton Bank in the centre etched from flashed glass.  The main part of the window is unpainted and made with a wide variety of textured glass. At the top are small panels showing some of the local types of animals James Herriot would have known and treated.
