| What got me started in this work? I never paid much attention to stained glass before I was introduced to the medium at Art school, now I couldn't imagine working full-time with anything else. The colours are just incredible, the work changes according to the light so is interesting in different ways at different times of the day, and I like the fact that I can do the whole job myself with simple hand tools rather than just producing a design for someone else to manufacture. Using a full range of techniques it is possible to get just about any sort of detailing into a design. And it fulfils a purpose, it doesn't just sit around getting dusty!. As well as working with stained glass in my own business I also teach stained glass evening classes in York, short stained glass courses and workshops, both privately and for colleges and other organisations.
